Sea Songs 16th August 2023 Portobello Beach
We were delighted to be joined by workers from Edinburgh Shoreline who told us about the Restoration Forth project which is reintroducing Oysters and Seagrass into the Forth. We sang Jane’s new Dabberlocks Kelp song, written as part of the Edinburgh Shoreline 100 Species Project, and Penny Stone’s Oyster Catcher song – another of the birds on the 100 species list. We also heard from Jenny Pope about her Buoyancy in Unprecedented Times Art Walk Porty residency and sang two songs that will be included in the coracle launching ceremony on September 10th.
